Medical Malpractice Cases We Fund

If a healthcare provider caused you harm, we can likely fund it.

Medical malpractice covers a wide range of provider errors and negligent care. If you were seriously injured by a doctor, hospital, nurse, or other healthcare professional and have an attorney working your case, chances are we can help.

01

Surgical Errors

Wrong-site surgery, retained instruments, nerve damage, unnecessary procedures, or post-op complications caused by surgeon or hospital negligence.

02

Misdiagnosis & Delayed Diagnosis

Cancer missed on imaging, heart attacks dismissed as anxiety, strokes not caught in time — misdiagnosis is one of the most common (and most damaging) forms of malpractice.

03

Birth Injuries

Injuries to a baby or mother during labor and delivery — including cerebral palsy, brachial plexus injuries, oxygen deprivation, or maternal injuries from delivery mistakes.

04

Medication & Prescription Errors

Wrong medication, wrong dosage, dangerous drug interactions, or pharmacy dispensing errors that caused serious harm.

05

Hospital & ER Negligence

Failure to monitor patients, hospital-acquired infections, discharge errors, or emergency room mistakes that caused preventable harm.

06

Nursing Home & Elder Care

Neglect, abuse, medication mismanagement, falls, or bedsores in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Elder cases are among the most sensitive we handle.

Why Plaintiffs Use It

Medical malpractice cases take years. You can't wait years.

Med mal cases are the longest and most contested in personal injury. Two to four years from filing to resolution is typical. Hospitals and their insurers have deep pockets, expert witnesses, and every incentive to delay. Meanwhile, you're still paying medical bills, still dealing with the ongoing consequences of the malpractice, and often still unable to work.

Pre-settlement funding was built for exactly this situation. Because we're only paid from a successful settlement, our interests are aligned with yours — we want you to hold out for the settlement your case deserves, not settle early because the bills won't wait.

  • Cover ongoing medical and therapy costs
  • Pay for adaptive equipment, home care, or accessibility modifications
  • Replace lost income if you can't work
  • Give your attorney time to build the strongest case possible

Medical Malpractice FAQ

Questions from med mal plaintiffs.

Common questions we hear from medical malpractice plaintiffs considering funding. For our complete FAQ, see our full FAQ page.

See our full FAQ →
How much can I get on a medical malpractice case?
Med mal advances typically range from $1,000 to $250,000+, with the highest advances reserved for cases with catastrophic injuries, permanent disability, or wrongful death claims. Case value depends heavily on damages — medical bills, future care needs, lost earning capacity, and pain and suffering. Your specialist will give you an amount range once we review your case.
How long do medical malpractice cases actually take?
Longer than most other case types. Two to four years from filing to settlement is common. Some cases resolve faster if the defendant hospital or insurance company sees strong evidence early and moves to settle. Others go all the way to trial, which can push the timeline out further. Your attorney is the best source for a case-specific estimate.
Do you fund cases before we've filed the lawsuit?
Sometimes. In many states, med mal requires pre-suit notice or a certificate of merit before filing. If your attorney has completed pre-suit requirements, has strong expert support, and is preparing to file, we can often fund at that stage. Purely pre-investigation cases without expert support are harder to fund.
What if my case is still being investigated for merit?
Med mal cases require expert medical review to establish that a provider fell below the standard of care. If your attorney is still gathering expert opinions, funding may not be available yet — but reach out anyway. We can talk you through what's needed and when we could reconsider.
Are birth injury cases fundable?
Yes. Birth injury cases — including cerebral palsy, brachial plexus injuries, and maternal injuries — are among the highest-value and most fundable med mal cases when liability is clear. These claims often have substantial future care needs, which supports larger advances.
What about nursing home negligence?
Yes, we fund nursing home cases. Common issues include neglect, medication errors, falls, bedsores, and elder abuse. These cases often involve elderly plaintiffs or their family members bringing claims on behalf of a loved one who cannot advocate for themselves.
What if the healthcare provider is a government facility?
Cases against government-run hospitals (VA hospitals, county hospitals, etc.) have specific procedural requirements — Federal Tort Claims Act filings for federal facilities, or notice-of-claim requirements for state facilities. We can still fund these cases, but the process depends on where your case is in those procedural steps. Your attorney will know.
Will medical malpractice funding affect my case?
No. Pre-settlement funding is entirely separate from the legal handling of your case. Your attorney continues to represent you the same way, negotiate on your behalf, and control case strategy. Our funding just gives you financial breathing room while the case moves through the medical malpractice process.
Other Case Types We Fund
